Camino Frances Day 14: A Journey of Beauty, Challenges, and Unexpected Rewards | Day 265 of my 2023 Journal

Cecilie Conrad·Sep 23, 2023· 2 minutes

Camino Frances. Day fourteen.

A hundred days left of this year. Only about thirty of the Camino. Walking with my friend all day, as we have the same pace.

Beautiful, long day, lots and lots of inclines with appropriate swear words in the comment section by two boomers from different continents.

It took us many hours to get there, but as the sun was mostly shining and we took the more beautiful complementary routes, we were in the good.

This first picture is from where we had just done a specifically challenging incline that felt forever and decided on the alternative route, not knowing where the rest of the family was. And as it often goes, When you risk something, you are rewarded.

I can not begin to describe the beauty and lightness of this stretch. The corn was green and stretched towards the sky, the sky blue as I love-love it, decorated with white puffy clouds followed by a silent forest with moss and tall trees.

We had a lovely pause and lunch with Silke and Porter about halfway, as we did coordinate with them again, and it was a lovely and well-lived day.

With love
