Århus | Day 182 of my 2023 Journal

In the second largest city in Denmark, Århus lives one of my father's little brothers. The one I have the closest relationship to. We went to a nearby beach for the night, so we would be ready to spend the day with him. The morning gave us a beautiful long walk in soft sand and a not-so-cold dip in the ocean before we searched for parking in a somewhat big city.

Århus is not big, but my uncle lives in the center of it, so we anticipated parking to be challenging. It was not, really. We found a nice spot at the harbor, allowing us to see some of the new things happening in the city. Then we went to see my uncle, listened to the stories of the family history and the collection of items and armor and books, and laughed a bit.

In the street, an Indian restaurant gave us cheap and good vegan Indian lunch before we went to a CityWalk. We saw a museum about the Second World War and how it evolved in Scandinavia, and we saw the cathedral and the center of the city.

My uncle is a great storyteller, and we enjoyed the walk a lot. Back at the van, we had some coffee and took the classic group photo before we took off for the next adventure.
