Too much to do. In the rain | Day 207 of my 2023 Journal

Sinead O Conor died.

Fjord's best friend called.

When we finally went for a little walk, the rain started again.

We shared the wash.

Discussed shampoo.

Met new people.

Did two podcast recordings back to back.

Organized the van a bit.

Tried yeast-extract Marmite Style.

Stayed up late.

Laughed a lot.

Discussed the novel 1984.

Had a friend with bandwith to book tickets to a waterpark online.

Moved a deadline again - how can I work on my book while sharing a house with four other adults, four dogs, nine children, and a cat?

Monitored the blog post on Learn Nothing Day as I happened to write something about a diagnosis and had to clear some misunderstandings.

Witnessed wonderful support within the children’s group when some dynamics did not work for a while.

Had coffee.

Forgot to take pictures; too much going on.

I am doing this staccato as I don't have the capacity at the moment to do other versions.

Intense living going on here, and I would not want to miss a second of it. It is draining my batteries and filling up my hours.

Exactly as I prefer.

Love and light

Unschooling and Parent consulting, conversations, blogposts, and podcasts on family life and learning

Hi, I'm Cecilie Conrad. I'm a trained psychologist, mother of four, radical unschooler and full-time traveller. I have lived with unschooling for over a decade and help other families find their own path – whether it is about homeschooling, unschooling, or the bigger question of how you want to live as a family.

I offer guidance, conversations and talks. I call my work grandmothering – not coaching in the traditional sense, but presence, professional insight and concrete help navigating motherhood and finding your way home to your own values.

Am I the right person to help you? You can book a free discovery call, and we'll talk and figure it out.

Listen to my podcasts

I share my knowledge and curiosity about family life and learning in my two podcasts.
