Welcome to a universe of reflections on the radically different.

Podcasts and writing on childhood, feminism, unschooling, modernity, consumer culture, inner and outer journeys, nomad life, spirituality, paths and detours.

Life is not an experiment – it is far too important for that. But it is also not just another package on the mainstream sausage factory line. With all senses open and infinitely vulnerable – also and perhaps especially to my own limitations – I have challenged what life can be, to find a way of being in it that makes sense.

I felt it was important to share, in the hope that the path might be easier to find for others who feel the box is a little too small. Here you can find it all, in writing and as podcasts.

Podcast on Unschooling, parenting and living a self directed life

I share my knowledge and curiosity about family life and learning in my two podcasts.

Podcast om Unschooling - The Ladies...

It all started in Normandie, France, during a worldschooling event, when I was solving all the problems of the world in deep dive conversations with my amazing friends: I realized - wuauv, if only I had had the chance to listen in on something like this, when I was first starting out on my unschooling journey. If I had only known! Fixing the world over a cup of tea or a meal or a walk, I realised technology today allows us to share with a much larger group than the ones around us. Via long-format podcast, I learn a lot, and this is my contribution: Listen in, when I fix the world with my co-hosts.

Podcast: Self Directed

Self Directed is a podcast I make with my husband, Jesper Conrad. We have recorded more than 150 episodes, almost all of them about self-directed learning, unschooling and being a parent.

The podcast consists of conversations with guests who live and think differently about learning, life and family life, exploring how to create space for children where freedom, responsibility and curiosity have room.

Cecilie possesses an exceptional presence and a spectacular ability to see me clearly. She is one of the most ‘relevant’ and life-wise people I have met in the field of children.

Get an email whenever I'm giving a talk, running a workshop, or have something new to share.

I send newsletters very rarely—honestly, the best way to reach me is via WhatsApp—but if you want to be the first to know when I have news, you can sign up below.

I’ll also reach out whenever we occasionally create something new that I think you’d love to hear about."
