Your focus determines your reality | Day 156 of my 2023 Journal

Cecilie Conrad·Jun 5, 2023· 3 minutes

The last day of our Copenhagen adventure arrived. We packed and cleaned and moved back into the van. Simple stuff. Had we lived stationary, we would also sometimes spend some hours cleaning. It is cool.

First stop, we drove to Freetown Christiania, where a friend of my husband's cousin had just received a house in this special place, and we were there to see how it all worked and where she was going to live. The story of Freetown is long and complicated, and I am not going to entertain with it here. It was a perfect day; We talked to some people, enjoyed the sunshine, and had a dip. Not even cold. The water was lovely. Jesper's cousin is a great guy, and we were happy to connect.

Then we drove to Nørrebro, my old hood, to visit my cousin and the newborn at the playground. It was lovely to see the 16 days old beautiful baby and connect for a moment with the family, settling into the new constellation of being four people. The son told us the following chain of consequences: "I now have a little sister, so I am three and a half years old.” He is such a cutie.

Then we met some people and had a hug, and realized the coffee in this part of the time is priced almost double compared to the other part of town where we just lived *in the same coffee chain* - amazing. Realized we had headlice again (DAMN), went to buy loads of apple cider vinegar to kill them, and continued to the graveyard to pay our respects to those who had passed to the other side (my grandmother, my mother, and my niece) before we had falafel and chili in the sunshine.

At the end of the day, we drove out to other favorite people at Åmarksgård, did the lice-killing, washed our clothes, and had comfy talks in the sunset and the summer night. Settling into the van, I realized I love the van and our life based on it so much, and I trust we are always at the right place at the right time.

It is a matter of mindset. Of trusting the process. Of focus.

As Chi-Gon (Master of Obiwan) says: “Always remember: Your focus determines your reality.” This is such a deep truth.

And so we welcome new adventures.

Love and light
