Do you dare to share? | Day 136 of my 2023 Journal

Cecilie Conrad·May 17, 2023· 3 minutes

Co-living can have many faces.

We just did a month in France, in a space created for co-Living, with hosts and structure and many families. It was a first for us. But co-living as such is not new to us; this might be the hidden gem of full-time nomadic.

As I said many times before, the true adventure is the people. And a great advantage of not living anywhere is the open homes many people have as a physical manifestation of their open hearts. We have had many wonderful invitations and literally even moved in with people we had never met before or just met two hours earlier.

In the beginning, it felt really strange. We, maybe especially I, had to face demons and do essential inner work, to reach a state of peace. One of my big life themes is the question:

“Am I welcome here?”

Paired with an overwhelming and persistent claim to be true to myself - so I have to stay with what I am and what I find true while struggling with the feeling of not being welcome anywhere.

One could think creating a life of ever-changing locations, the “here” in my question chaining many, many times each year, and with my family moving in and out of other people's houses all the time, was a bad plan. But I am sure life gives us exactly what we need when we need it, and I have no regrets.

We are drawn to situations where we can learn essential lessons.

Working with this key question has given us many great adventures.

With the Attwood family, we live our lives on top of and around each other. We all do our thing, and the harmony is perfect, no less.

We work, we study, we run, we cook, we talk, we play, and we share while all of the little and big things that have to be done get done, and life goes on.
It is much more interesting to spend time with our people when we get to live with them, I have learned.

I hardly know how to visit people anymore.

The way we merge our energies, and have conversations picking up and leaving loose ends with no stress, is my favorite way of being around our friends.

Love and light
